I received this as a gift and I am furious that it does not come with ANY instructional guide to help you know and understand how to use the unit. I would never tell anyone to purchase this item. From what I have read, I wish I would have received an Orion. This one is made in China and I have tried to go to their website, which is on the box, and it does not exist right now. Cut me a break! I might put it in the trash.

      Lori,
This company is out of business and they are liquidating all their product on Amazon.com.
The telescopes all come with a basic picture manual and that is it. Try youtube, and search intro to refractor telescopes.
There are also some good astronomy/telescope forums that are very good and friendly about answering questions.
I know it’s not what you want to hear, Just trying to help after reading your post.

      Jim
