Hi!
What is difference between AstroMaster 70 and Powerseeker 70, both Celestron, wich one is better for sky watching? Both reviews are look fine to me 🙂
tnx
Hello, Denis!
The main differences between the AstroMaster 70 and the PowerSeeker 70 are the focal length (the AstroMaster has a larger one at 900mm), the focal ratio (f/13 for the AstroMaster and f/10 for the PowerSeeker), and the lenses included (the AstroMaster comes with a Barlow lens, while the PowerSeeker comes with a 4mm and 10mm lens). The tripods are also slightly different, in that the AstroMaster one is made of steel, while the PowerSeeker one is made of aluminum.
In terms of which one is better for sky watching, we would recommend the AstroMaster 70.
Have a nice day!
Thank You for a great review, I was lucky to find one on aa Amazon warehouse deal at $69.37 shipped !!! Its a no brainer. I just sold a Celestron SLT90 Mak Cass “go to” mount which just sat in my basement because it was such a pain to set up and move around. I would much rather have this “point and shoot” scope. Looking forward to its arrival.
Hello Jim,
We are glad that our review was useful to you. Enjoy your new scope, and let us know your opinion when you start using it. Happy stargazing!
