What do you think about this telescope? Let us know.
Enjoying the telescope with my grandson, developed plans for an outdoor observatory for the scope. Just missed the conjunction. Very surprised at ease of assembly, but not surprised with the workmanship on the parts – absolutely great! Looking forward to free gift, and other add-ons for the future.
Gskyer telescope is one of the best telescopes which is used nowadays. It falls under the best range of telescope and a famous brand of the telescope. There is a piece of good news that beginners can also use it. They cannot only use this but they can also use this form intermediate to advance level.

Some people think this is difficult to know about the secrets which the sky holds inside it. But here a piece of good news, you can learn about them easily with the help of telescopes. More specifically this can be done easily with the Gskyer telescope. This is good to know that these are durable because this helps you to change and re-install the features, they are made of alloy.
I received one of these as a Christmas gift and want to use it for hobby photography etc. It came with easy to follow assembly instructions but ABSOLUTELY NO OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Amazon, from whom it was purchased, has been of no help. I’m a beginner. Does anyone know where to find operating instruction manual for this telescope?
Where can I get an instruction booklet for this telescope?
Where can I find a downloadable file for the user guide and instructions.

Can you explain your definitions of ‘high-end” and “high-quality”? From my extensive experience with amateur telescopes, having worked with a very large number of them, I find this brand and this telescope to be very low-end.
One major piece of information has been left out: is this an achromatic doublet or an apochromatic triplet refractor? If you don’t know those terms, you have no business reviewing a telescope.
In the review you also state the following: “The Gskyer 600x90mm AZ Telescope has a focal ratio of f/6.7 with a resolution of ≤2.8 and an angular field of view of 1 degree and 36 minutes”
What units are you using for resolution? 2.8 what? I calculate the diffraction limit for light at 400nm as about 1.12 arcseconds and 1.96 arcseconds for light at 700nm. The Dawes’ Limit calculates to 1.29 arcseconds, and the Rayleigh Criterion calculates to 1.53 arcseconds. Where is 2.8 anything coming from?
As for field of view, this is entirely dependent upon the focal length and apparent field of view of the eyepiece being used. I don’t see any specs here or anywhere on the AFOV of the eyepieces. I’ll generously assume they’re about 50°. If this is the case, the 25 mm eyepiece offers a true field of view over 2°.
As for magnification, you state: “This brings the maximum magnification to 360x. When used terrestrially, images produced are crystal clear. This is the same when used to view celestial objects.”
The general rule of thumb used by most amateur astronomers is that the maximum usable magnification of any telescope under ideal conditions is about 50x per inch or 2x per millimeter of aperture. That puts this telescope’s maximum usable magnification around 180x, and that’s under ideal conditions. A more realistic expectation is about 1/2 to 2/3 of that, depending on the telescope. Unless you have a very distorted definition of crystal clear, at 360x, nothing through this telescope will be crystal clear. If that’s your contention, I would call it a bald-faced lie.
All in all, I strongly question your credentials for reviewing telescopes. This is the type of telescope that those of us with experience in amateur astronomy strongly recommend people avoid at all costs.
Can we buy separate parts to make our 7400 more powerful
Gskyer is a company out of China that copied German technology and design to build their telescopes. The company has since gone out of business and has been liquidating their product through Amazon. The telescopes are priced accordingly for entry-level chinese-made product. The accessories that come with the telescopes such as the eye pieces, barlow etc are of low in quality, however, work fine for a beginner or novice. The grease that has been used on the alt Azimuth mount feels more like a sticky glue and I had to disassemble the mount, clean all the grease out, and apply a good quality grease in order for the mount to turn and move smoothly. There were also several burs that I had to polish out where pieces went together on the mount.
